There are  Consistent Homework Assignments Due in US History I or US History II:
I. Read EACH Chapter
(available online in the "American Vision Text" section to the left of this web-page)
Make sure you sign-in to the Chapters page with your name and chapter number.
II. . At the end of each chapter, complete the Key Terms and Key Facts section.

III. Once per Quarter-Current Events:
At the top of the page, use an MLA heading, including your class period...
Write ONE Paragraph explaining the event. Who did what where, when Why...
Write a SECOND Paragraph that explains a connection to something we studied in class.
Remember to cite the article using MLA citation (any computer based citation generator, like EASY BIB, will help you with this).

THAT IS ALL- You do not need to print the article and you should not give your opinion.

ALL WORK SHOULD BE KEPT IN YOUR BINDER UNTIL THE END OF THE SEMESTER!

Late Work:
You are responsible for handing work in on time. Late work will receive 50% of the earned grade until one week has passed.  After one week, work will NOT be accepted unless you are failing.

What should be in my
BINDER?
Every assignment you have completed during the year and all handouts given to you by the teacher should be saved in your binder.  You should also keep your binder open during class lectures, discussions, and activities.

What is the 60% rule?
If students are spoon fed information and take no ownership in their body of knowledge, they learn very little.
I routinely give 60% of the information needed to complete a task. Students should figure out the rest on their own. This classroom is a safe place to take academic risks.
